30 years and counting

Conditions couldn’t have been better for the 30th annual Easter egg hunt sponsored Saturday by the Oakland Beach Association. Budget for the event where two groups of kids based on their ages dashed to collect 2,700 eggs was “zero,” said one of the hunt’s co-chairs, Councilwoman Donna Travis. Other co-chairs were Tina Bajakian and Rita Oliver. Travis explained that everything was donated. And making it all the more special this year was the K of C that served up free hot dogs and hamburgers to kids and adults. (Warwick Beacon photos)
