Sixty-five youth basketball teams came to town this past weekend for the Cranston Winter Classic sponsored by CLCF. Champions were crowned in six age groups, with host CLCF winning two crowns and putting four teams in the finals.

The CLCF 12's beat East Greenwich 35-32 in the finals on a three-pointer with one second left by Brett Traficante. Alex Dickerman led the team with 10 points and Traficante added nine. The CLCF 13's also won their title, beating Johnston 64-47 in the finals. Sam Hanley led the offense with 19 points, Brett Bucci and Zac Lawson had 10 each, and Sam Franco and C.J. Watson spearheaded a strong defensive effort.

The CLCF 11's lost to West Warwick in the finals and the 14's fell to Coventry in the team's last all-star game together.

In the other age groups, West Warwick beat East Greenwich for the 9-year-old crown, and East Greenwich topped North Providence for the 10-year-old title.
