Fire causes extensive damage to East Providence home
No one was injured in Merrill Avenue blaze
EAST PROVIDENCE — A fire on Merrill Street, between North Broadway and Massasoit Avenue, forced residents from their home Friday night, Dec. 2.
East Providence Fire Chief Oscar Elmasian reported the structure suffered "extensive interior damage," but no one was hurt from blaze which occurred in the early evening. He said the cause of the fire has been deemed accidental.
"Everyone was able to evacuate the house without incident or injury," Chief Elmasian added.
