Kaitlin Armstrong engaged to Jonathan Deming

Philip and Marilyn Armstrong of Warwick announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaitlin Armstrong, to Jonathan Deming, son of Janice and Walter Deming of Warwick.

The future bride is a graduate of Pilgrim High School and Rhode Island College. She is employed as a special education teacher for the West Warwick Public School district.

The future groom attended CCRI and the University of Rhode Island. He is employed as a caseworker for the Trudeau Memorial Center and also as a track and field coach for his alma mater, Toll Gate High School.

The couple met and fell in love six years ago, while both working at Dave’s Bar and Grill, Jonny as a bartender and Katie as a hostess. They both worked there until 2012 and left to pursue their respective careers. The restaurant remains as their favorite date spot. On their first date, in March of 2007, Jonny took Katie mini golfing. He recreated that night on April 26 of this year, when he proposed on the 18th hole.

Armstrong and Deming are planning to marry on May 9, 2014 at St. Benedict’s Church in Warwick, followed by an evening reception at Warwick Country Club.
