St. Brigid’s ends fall on a high note
The Food Court at St. Brigid’s annual Fall Bazaar was manned by Carol Marrocco, cashier Cathy Idbitson, volunteer Vinny DiBiase and pizza lady Donna Greco.

The annual Fall Bazaar at St. Brigid’s Church at 1231 Plainfield Street in Johnston was held last Saturday and Sunday and was a smorgasbord of everything from homemade sausage and pepper sandwiches to pastries to wine corking and theme baskets.

In keeping with tradition, the annual fun and food fest was held in the parish center basement and also featured raffles, straw pull, food court, silent auction and arts and crafts especially for children. Dozens of people went from vendor to vendor, getting a jumpstart on their holiday shopping.

One of the more popular areas was the Food Court, where people enjoyed Chef John Marrocco’s Italian sausage and pepper sandwiches that were served on homemade rolls cut by his wife, Carol. Volunteer chef-server Vinny DiBiase, who before retirement spent 35 years with the Cranston Police Department, served sandwiches.
