Army Band kicks off Fourth of July Concert Series Tuesday

Patriotic music will fill the air along Bristol's waterfront Tuesday as the 99th Army Band kicks off the Fourth of July Concert Series in Independence Park.

The concert, scheduled for 7 p.m. in the waterfront park, is the first installment of the nightly music festival that will lead Bristol right up to the Fourth of July. Performances are scehduled each evening, most beginning at 6:45 p.m. Check back with eastbayri.com each day through July 3 for a look at that evening's performers

88th Army Band

Tuesday, June 20, 7 p.m.

The 88th Army Band, as part of the Rhode Island Army National Guard, has the primary responsibility to provide musical support across the state. The band has a long and proud history of service to our state and country. Instituted in 1892, the band performs  a wide range of music from patriotic, classical, contemporary, big band swing, country, and the latest top-40 hits.  Their Pop Rock Ensemble is consistently in the top East Coast Army Ensembles.  Their show is a lively Patriotic presentation coupled with a high energy Rock set that will keep everyone thoroughly entertained.
