Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has announced that longtime banking professional Karen Seippel joins the bank as the Branch Manager, Assistant Vice President of its Centerville Road branch in Warwick.

Seippel comes to BankRI from Citizens Bank, having served the community of Warwick for eighteen years as both manager and assistant manager of its Hoxsie and Wildes Corner branches.

As manager of BankRI’s Centerville Road branch, Seippel is responsible for overseeing the office’s day-to-day operations and developing new business and individual banking customers while enhancing existing client relationships. She also focuses on identifying long-term growth opportunities for the customers she serves in Rhode Island’s second-largest market through recommending personalized financial products that meet client needs.

“Warwick has long been a community where we have enjoyed particularly strong relationships with our customers and we’re excited to further deepen those connections thanks to Karen’s experience and intimate knowledge of the local market,” said Steven M. Parente, Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking for BankRI. “We are pleased to add someone of Karen’s caliber to our team, where her commitment to delivering the very best customer service will be an asset to our clients.”

A resident of Warwick who enjoys boating and traveling, Karen studied business at the University of Rhode Island. In her spare time, Karen is active in the community, volunteering at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, with the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon, and at Friends Way.
