Barnes first graders create their own city

BANKERS: Fotis Fotopoulos, Aiden Neil, Chiara Dequattro, and Jasmeet Mann created the city's money, PB Bucks, and helped to write the checks for the money that was used for items purchased from the prize box.
SANITATION ENGINEERS: Isabella Raposo, Sophia Testa, and Isla Becker were on the "clean team," and needed to be hard-working, ready to clean, friendly and polite to all of the citizens. They had job responsibilities every day at 3:00 p.m., and were upset that they were not being paid for their work, so they approached the mayors of the city to address the issue.
RESPONSIBILITY OFFICERS: Jack Moulton and Jeffrey Marin had the responsibility of reminding the citizens that kindness counts in Pambradyville, and all citizens must be kind to each other at all times and make good choices.
The new city of Pambradyville hosted a wax museum at Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary School last week. Each year the students in first grade create their own city and fill all of the positions needed to run their city, from mayors to medics to flag designers. As a culminating project, a wax museum is held and guests are welcomed to the city to circulate through, learn about the city workers' jobs and ask questions. This year's wax museum took place on Wednesday, May 30, and guests soon learned that the city of Pambradyville was named after Alviti and her favorite New England Patriot, Tom Brady.
