Barrington police said a man driving a gray Honda Accord tried to lure two local teenagers to his car early Thursday morning, June 15.

According to the report, a white man with shoulder-length hair and a beard pulled his car up to a school bus stop near the intersection of Owens Lane and Sowams Road at about 6:55 a.m.

The man then reportedly motioned to the two teens at the bus stop to come closer to his car. The teenagers did not budge and after a short time the man drove away. The teenagers thought the incident was a bit odd, so they shared the information with an adult who called police later in the day.

In a separate police report incident, a gray Honda Accord was also identified as the suspect vehicle following a larceny on Maple Avenue on Sunday morning.

Police said a Barrington woman was at Mass at Holy Angels Church on Sunday and when she returned to her she discovered that someone had smashed the front passenger window and taken her purse that she had left in the car.

A witness said he saw the gray Accord in that area at the time of the larceny.
