Barrington woman nearly banned from Starbucks

Store manager decides not to take a no trespassing order against customer

A Barrington woman nearly got herself banned from the Starbucks in town last week.

According to police, the coffee shop's manager had called the police station on Monday, Jan. 23 and requested a no trespass order against the woman, after she was rude with store employees.

Lawmakers wary of marijuana bill.

The Starbucks store manager told police that the woman had made a mobile order and when she went into the store to pick up her drink at about 11:45 a.m., she requested that a certain employee make the drink — it was not clear what the woman ordered.

The requested employee was busy working the cash register, however, and was unable to fill that order.

That news reportedly triggered a harsh response from the customer, so harsh that the store manager decided to call police and take out a no trespassing order against the woman.

A few hours later, the store manager called the police station and said Starbucks wanted to "hold off" on the no trespassing order.
