Beach gates

In response to persistent complaints about late night activities at the Oakland Beach seawall, gates are being installed at both the entrance and exit to the loop around the commons. Ward 6 Councilwoman Donna Travis said yesterday that Warwick Police called her on problems and inquired whether she had any objections to the gates. She said she has no problem with the gates as long as they aren’t closed too early. She thought 11 p.m. would be a good time.
