Bristol arrests: Domestic assault, fraud, DUI and more

The Bristol Police department made the following arrests last week:

Shannon Kristine Whitmarsh, 46, of 39 Richmond St., Apt. B, Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence, .15 or greater, after being pulled over on the Mt. Hope Bridge just after 11 p.m. Nov. 8.

Patrick David McCann, 51, of Harrison Street in Bristol, was charged with domestic assault, simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct after police were called to the area around 7 p.m. for reports of two men fighting.

Valdemiro Loras, 31, of 7 Ursula Drive, Apt. 3, Bristol, was arrested on a 6th District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

Michael W. Harper, 57, of 210 Wood St., Bristol, was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses.

Robert I. Cairrao, 34, of 1013 Hope St., Bristol, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

Ediberto M. Rivera, 25, of 30 Washington St., Apt. 610, Central Falls, was charged with four counts of passing fraudulent checks, more than $1,500.

Emanuel Tavares, 32, of 216 Franklin St., Apt. 1, Bristol, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct after police were called to Church Street at 4 p.m. for reports of a family disturbance.

Rebecca Clinton, 46, of 41 Narrows Road, Bristol, was charged with disorderly conduct on Gooding Avenue just before 8 p.m.

Joshua R. Toste, 29, of 154 Bradford St., Bristol, was arrested on a warrant from North Providence Police for a charge of larceny. He was taken into custody at Fales Road and Hope Street at 8:30 p.m.
