Bristol arrests: Sexual assault, DUI, domestic violence

The Bristol Police Department made the following arrests:

Asim Aquil Samuel, 38, of 67 Catherine St., Bristol, was arrested  Feb. 14 on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

Raymond F. Paiva IV, 25, of 34 Sowams Drive, Bristol, was charged Feb. 14 with first degree murder. Mr. Paiva allegedly killed his grandmother, Eudora Gustafson in her home, where Mr. Paiva had been staying. After running from Providence Police that night, on Feb. 17, he was reportedly shot multiple times by police and remains in Rhode Island Hospital. He will be remanded to the ACI when he is released from the hospital.

Nicholas James Salzano, 23, of 10 Peckham Place, Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test after an accident on Metacom Avenue just before 2 a.m. Feb. 15.

Lisa V. Franco, 44, of 46 Kingwood Road, Bristol, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting. She turned herself in at police headquarters at 2:30 p.m.

Zachary A. Primiano, 19, of 14 Birch Swamp Road, Warren, was charged with four counts of third degree sexual assault - statutory rape, and one count of simple assault Feb. 16.

Kenneth D. Skelly, 41, of 16 Wilson St., Apt. 2, Bristol, was arrested Feb. 17 on a 6th District Court bench warrant for a non-criminal charge.

Forrest Cook, 26, of 627 Wood St., Apt. 3, Bristol, was charged with possession of narcotics and resisting arrest. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant at Hope and Franklin streets just before 10 p.m. Feb. 17.

Michelle L. Silveira, 32, of 503 Wood St., Apt. F, Bristol, was charged with Domestic Disorderly Conduct, and Domestic Assault.
