East Providence bicyclist killed on car accident

EAST PROVIDENCE — A city man was struck and killed by a motor vehicle while riding his bicycle on Willett Avenue in Riverside on Monday evening, Aug. 14.
East Providence Police announced Tuesday morning, Aug. 15, the victim, a male in his 20s, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Rhode Island Hospital.
The accident, involving an SUV, occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Willett and Arrowhead Avenues.
Police released no further details. The incident remains under investigation.
