Elite Physical Therapy was nominated for the 2017 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Physical Therapy Practice in the state.  Elite Physical Therapy becomes the first private Physical Therapy practice in Rhode Island to win this award.

This ballot-based award gives a voice to the readers of the Providence Journal to vote for their favorite local business. The selection process is divided into three rounds of nomination and voting with 167 categories. Elite was invited to attend the gala in early May where they were carefully selected as the Top 3 Choice for the category Physical Therapy. The other award winners in this category were South County of Orthopedics and University of Orthopedics.

“This is truly a special recognition for our entire group,” said Elite Physical Therapy’s Founder, Dr. Michael Nula. “Our team is grateful for the opportunity to help Rhode Islanders improve their health, and work with so many talented healthcare professionals throughout the state.”

Governor Gina Raimondo opened with a few words “Almost every Rhode Islander works in a small company,” she said, crediting small businesses for what is working in the state and announcing that the unemployment rate, once the highest in the country, had fallen below the national average.

Nula and Co-Owner, Jason Harvey attended the red carpet event at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. They were honored that patients and friends had voted for their practice to win this award. Elite has 9 offices, with their newest location opening this August at Cranston Chapel View, underneath Alex and Ani Headquarters.
