Elsie DiSano, 94, Bristol

Elsie (Rich) DiSano, 94, of Bristol, RI, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Warren Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Warren, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony DiSano, to whom she was married on June 24, 1944, and who died on Dec. 12, 1986.

Born on Sept. 3, 1922 in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Michael Rich and the late Virginia (Confalone) Rich. A longtime resident of Bristol, Elsie previously lived in Barrington, RI. She was the proud and caring owner of Elsie's Bakery in Bristol for many years before retiring, and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church there.

Elsie is survived by her dear son, Peter G. DiSano of Ormond Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Mary DeLeo, Louise Canale, Rose Alves and Anne Ferrara; and her brother, Joe Rich.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Ave., Barrington, RI, followed by a Graveside Service in Santa Maria Del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington, RI.
