Garold A. Wagenbach, 78, of Water Street, Warren, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Mercier) Wagenbach.

Born in Barron, Wisconsin, a son of the late Martin O. and Nellie (MacFarlane) Wagenbach, he lived in Warren for 53 years. 

Mr. Wagenbach was the owner and operator of Mercier’s Hardware from 1984 until 2012. He enjoyed relaxing at his home in New Hampshire, bowling, reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was a United States Navy veteran. 

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by a son, Joseph M. Wagenbach of Warren; a daughter, Louise A. Wagenbach of Warren; a brother, Dean F. Wagenbach of Franklin, VA.; and a grandson, Sean M. Wagenbach of Bristol. He was the father of the late Michael J. Wagenbach and brother of the late Richard C. and James Wagenbach. 

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 14, in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside.  Burial followed in the South Burial Ground Cemetery.
