George T. Christianson

George T. Christianson, 87, of Warwick died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Barbara L. (Brennan) Christianson.

Born in Providence, George was a son of the late George T. Christianson, Sr. and Lillian (Batastini) Christianson. George was employed as a security officer at the American-Hoechst Chemical Company, retiring in 1990.

In addition to his beloved wife, George is also survived by his loving children: Robert G. Christianson (Angela) and Julie A. Forte (Ed), all of Warwick and two cherished grandchildren: Maria and Joseph. He was the brother of the late Betty Pontarelli.

His funeral will be held on His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 8:30 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30. Burial will be private.
