Holiday season kicks off in Cranston
A jolly arrival
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS: Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus are greeted by hundreds of children of all ages in Garden City Center on Saturday. They arrived in a horse-drawn wagon pulled by horses Eddy and Lenny and driven by New Deal Horse & Carriage co-owner Julie Kliever and horse handler Melinda Michelotti.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, hundreds of children of all ages were on hand at Cranston’s Garden City Center to greet Santa Claus, his wife Mrs. Claus and their elves.
Families were able to visit Santa in his heated cabin by the Gazebo. Additionally, the event featured free hayrides provided by New Deal Horse & Carriage, face painting from W.O.W. Face Painting, hot chocolate, kettle corn, chowder from Legal Seafood and a table by Learning Brooke where children could write a letter to Santa.
Santa will be in his cabin every day through Dec. 24. For more information, visit gardencitycenter.com.
