'Honest' moving company accused of larceny
Barrington resident files report over missing jewelry
A former Barrington resident contacted police on Wednesday, Nov. 9, after she realized some of her belongings had gone missing during a recent move to Fall River, Mass.
The former resident told police she and her husband had hired the moving company "Honest Vet Movers" to transport items from her Barrington home to her new home in Fall River.
She said she found the company listed on craigslist.com and that on the day of the move, the men arrived in an unmarked box truck.
Later, while unpacking, the woman reportedly noticed that a box carrying jewelry and other family heirlooms was missing. She estimated that the contents of the box totaled more than $10,000. Police are investigating.
