JHS Junior Prom an enchanted evening

Johnston Sun Rise ·

Friday, May 5, was a rainy and cold day, but Junior Prom was still going on! Students arrived at 6:30 p.m. at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston to take pictures with their dates. Pictures had to be taken inside because of the persisting rain outside, but that didn’t keep students from having a fun time.

The meal kicked off at 8 o’clock, where students enjoyed a meal of chicken francaise, potatoes and green beans. After students finished their meal, they began to move to the dance floor where the DJ kicked off the night with some music.

Following an hour of dancing, it was time to reveal the king and queen. Announced by the class of 2018 advisor, Mrs. Zito, the girls’ court in no particular order were Gabriella Costantini, Lauren Papa, Alyssa Johnson and Daijah Bennett. The Junior Prom Queen was Fallon Davis.

The court for the boys was Henry Alvarez, Ty Harriel, Ricky Rashoumbat and James Cardenas. The Junior Prom king was Dylan Lavoie.

The JHS Class of 2018 would like to thank all of the students who attended our dance and all of the chaperones who attended. We would like to give a special thank you to our class advisor, Mrs. Zito, for putting in countless hard hours to make this special event happen.
