Jose Angelo Melo, 75, Bristol

Jose Angelo Melo, 75, of Fales Road, passed away on June 22, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Maria Fatima (Ferro) Melo.

Born in Povoacao, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Angelo Carreiro and Maria Raposo (de Jesus) de Melo.

In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by his sons, Joseph Melo and his wife Michelle, and Michael Melo and his wife Shantal; and grandchildren Christopher Gomes, Brianna Melo, Niya Melo and Noah Melo. He was the brother of Teresa Costa, Manuel Melo the late Leonilde Melo, Inez Borges, Urania Melo and Maria do Carmo Machado. He was the father of the late Elizabeth Melo.

Mr. Melo was educated in Portugal and employed by C.J. Pearson and Freedom Yachts before retiring.

Jose His funeral services will be held, Saturday, July 1, 10 a.m., from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours are Friday, 5-8 p.m.
