Muriel E. Medeiros, 87, Little Compton
Muriel E. Medeiros, 87, of Little Compton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Sakonnet Bay Manor, Tiverton. She was the wife of Antone M. Medeiros. They were married for 64 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Albert Johnson and Marion (Phillips) Johnson. Mrs. Medeiros retired from Raytheon (Transcom Division) after 28 years.
She was a member of the United Congregational Church of Little Compton, and member of Ladies Aid, and Ladies Auxiliary of L.C.V.F.D. She loved spending time with family and friends and bingo at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. An avid reader and film buff, she enjoyed summer cookouts and travel.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Alan M. Medeiros (wife Ana), and Dana M. Medeiros and his companion Sheila Konis; and two granddaughters, Amy and Rebecca Medeiros. She was the sister of the late Albert Johnson and Marion Shaffer.
Her funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. in the Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Ave., Little Compton. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton. Visiting hour will be 9 to 10 a.m.
