Nancy L. Manchester, 80, Tiverton

Nancy Louise (Dwelly) Manchester of Tiverton, wife of Everett Carl Manchester Sr., passed away on November 10, 2016, at the age of 80 after a long illness. Nancy was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Doris (Wilbour) Dwelly of Little Compton. She was a longtime resident of Tiverton and was married for 64 years.  

She leaves two sons, Everett C. Manchester Jr., his wife Donna, and Alan D. Manchester, his longtime girlfriend Phyllis. She was the mother of the late Carol A. Manchester, all of Tiverton; two grandchildren, Jennifer Manchester Reid, her husband Jesse, and Peter Manchester, his wife Kerstin, both of Tiverton; her sister, Joann Phillips of California. She was sister of the late Ruth Wordell and Charles Dwelly, both of Little Compton; and leaves several nieces and nephews. Nancy also leaves two dear friends whom she considers part of her family, Joshua Bucci of Middletown and Khaiya Raposo of Fall River.

Nancy was employed at the former Sunderland's Restaurant in Tiverton for 32 years before her retirement.  She was very proud of her home and was always happy to be with her family, who always came first.  She enjoyed family dinners, her flowers, clamming at the beach and feeding birds and wildlife in her yard. Her pastimes were sewing, reading and baking.  

Memorial graveside service under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, Nov. 26, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton at 10 a.m.
