Scams & Frauds:

What We Need to Know

Millions of older adults fall prey to scams and frauds every year. Scammers are expected to steal over $2 billion in 2021. You can thwart their efforts by gaining an understanding of the most common scams and how to keep your money safe. Don’t miss this important and informational presentation.

Tai Chi

Even though tai chi is for people of all ages, because it’s a low impact exercise, it especially benefits older adults. It has three main components – exercise, meditation and breathing. Research shows practicing tai chi can improve balance, stability and flexibility. Practiced regularly, it can also help reduce pain, especially from knee osteoarthritis, back problems, and fibromyalgia. Come try it out!

Conversational Italian

Why learn a new language? Recent studies have shown that learning a new language improves cognition in older adults and also delays the onset of dementia. We read so much about “exercising the brain.” Now is your chance. Whether you are planning a trip to Italy or just want to have fun with a new language come and join Maria Vallone as she guides you into a “new language.” Pre-registration is a must. Please call Kathi at 780-6216.
