Norman A. Manchester Jr., 70, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Norman A. Manchester Sr. and Elsie R. (Rego-Sousa) Manchester, he was a lifelong truck driver. He worked as a diesel mechanic for RIPTA prior to retirement. Once retired, with his passion for restoring antique cars and building hot rods, he started “Ace’s Hot Rod Shop.” He enjoyed drag racing, jet skiing and spending time with his family. He was an elite Rough and Ready, Engine 5 yearly Clambake attendee.

Norman is survived by his former wife, Marie A. (Cavallaro) Manchester; two sons, Norman A. Manchester III and his wife Kimberly of Rehoboth and Louis A. Manchester of Warren; a daughter, Lee Ann Manchester and Dereck Gensel of Warren; two sisters, Faith Frances and her husband Jeffrey and Sandra Davock and her husband William of Warren; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
