Off to a stellar start

The Warwick Veterans Memorial Middle School Choir, a group of 50 seventh and eighth graders performed on June 2 at the Great East Festival. The adjudicated scores of 90 by both judges marked the fantastic start of the newly formed school’s choir. They earned a “Gold” medal in performing at the Agawam High School. Their featured selections were: Lon Berry’s “The Arrow and the Song” based on the poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Russ Robinson’s a capella piece “I’ll Sing Ev’ry Morning and Noon and Night” Kirby Shaw’s arrangement of Joshua! Fit the Battle of Jericho.
