Philippe sends Buzzards’ tent flying

EastBayRI.com ·

Buzzards Bay Brewing in Westport is mourning the loss of its tent, another victim of the remnants of tropical storm Philippe.

In an email, the company reported …

“Meanwhile back on our farm, the storm "relocated" our tent. We were going to move the tent (we had a scheme and a plan), but the wind had its ideas.  And the wind's ideas won.  So now, we've dismantled the frame, found pieces that need to be re-ordered, folded the canvas and tucked the tent away for a future day.

“What does this mean for the late autumn and winter months? Fortunately, we've been granted permission to host guests in the brewery and warehouse.  Unfortunately, our maximum capacity remains at less than 100 people.  And since people means employees, band members, guests (of any age) we are going to be over 21-only after 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“Please understand that we are working to increase our capacity within the framework of the rather complex Massachusetts Fire Code.  Thank you for being very patient with us!”

Cheers,

The Buzzards Bay Brewing Team
