Phyllis M. (Marsella) Gerundio
Phyllis M. (Marsella) Gerundio, 92, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Gerundio.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Clementina (Carlino) Marsella. Phyllis was the co-owner of Joyful Sound, Christian Book Store in Warwick for many years. She was a devoted member of Victory Assembly of God, Providence, and First Pentecostal Church, Cranston. Phyllis loved making beautiful flower arrangements.
She was the beloved mother of Rev. Janice L Gerundio, and Mrs. Cheryl Gerundio Pitts and her husband, Charles; devoted grandmother of Courtney Pitts, Samantha, James, Jr., and Zachary McCue; caring great-grandmother of Sophia McCue; sister of Gloria Marsella, and the late Ida Davis, and John Marsella. Phyllis is also survived by her dear friend, Sheri McCue and her husband, James. She leaves behind loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Victory Assembly of God Church, 321 Veazie St., Providence, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
