DUI Arrests

Three individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs during the early morning hours of Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24. The Cranston Police Department deployed 11 extra officers on the holiday to specifically look for impaired drivers and keep the roadways safe. The subjects arrested for driving under the influence are identified as:

Edwin Ramos, age 35, of 40 Heath Street, Providence, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC .15 or greater (Phase I: .190 / Phase II: .190) and Operating with a Suspended License.

Anthony Terilli, age 57, of 2161 Phenix Avenue, Cranston, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

Andrew Martish, age 29, of 114 Butternut Drive, North Kingstown, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

All of the subjects were arraigned by a bail commissioner at Cranston Police Headquarters and released.

During the enforcement effort, officers conducted 81 motor vehicle stops, issued 74 summonses and arrested two additional subjects identified as:

Maria Rodriguez Perez, age 53, of 359 Carpenter Street, Providence, Operating Without a License. Rodriguez Perez was summonsed to appear and released.

Eduardo Lopez, age 24, of 39 Wallace Street, Providence, District Court Bench Warrant. Lopez was sent to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Colonel Winquist said in a statement, “With no deaths or serious injuries occurring last evening, there were no empty seats at a Thanksgiving table, which was our ultimate goal…We will continue our intensive enforcement efforts throughout the holiday season.”
