ASSAULT

Officer Murray arrested Xing Zhong Li, 53, of 35 Crothers Ave. Cranston, for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct on July 29 around 12:30 a.m. The arrest was the result of a call for an assault at the aforementioned address. He was held for arraignment in the morning.

Brandi Lee Magnotta, 29, of 459 Pontiac Ave. #2 in Cranston, was arrested on July 25 at 1:29 a.m. by Officer Laquale arrested for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct. Her arrest is the result of an assault at the above address. She was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning.

CHILD ABUSE

On July 25 at 12:30 a.m., Officer Bellevue arrested Anthony Gaul, 35, of 92 Fourth Ave. in Cranston, for child abuse, second degree. His arrest is the result of an attempted pick-up on an affidavit of arrest issued by Cranston Police Department based on a previous incident. Gaul was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning.

DISORDERLY

Following a call for a female barricaded in her bedroom while the ex-boyfriend was in the house breaking things on July 29 at approximately 4:38 a.m., Officer Brown arrested Joseph Anderson, 27, of 14 Mowry St. in Johnston, for domestic breaking and entering, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct. He was held for arraignment in the morning.

OBSTRUCTION AND MORE

On July 29 at approximately 10:55 p.m. Officers Hardy and Robbins arrested Maria Gonzalez, 53, of 132 Fordson Ave. # 7 Cranston, for domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at the aforementioned address. Gonzalez was held for arraignment in the morning as a probation violator. The following day, Officer Medeiros arrested Gonzalez, for obstructing an officer in execution of their duty. Her arrest is the result of an investigation of a previous incident at 132 Fordson Ave. Gonzalez was arraigned and transported to ACI as a probation violator.

Officer Leclair arrested Tyler Daniels, 24, of 28 Connecticut St. in Cranston for obstructing an officer in execution of duty and a Third District Court bench warrant. His arrest is the result of a motor vehicle stop in the lot of 681 Reservoir Ave. He was held for arraignment.

WARRANT

At approximately 1:17 a.m. on July 29, Officers Laplume and Troiano arrested John Donahue, 52, of 86 Burbank St. in Cranston, for a 24-hour domestic warrant out of South Kingstown. The arrest was the result of a request by South Kingstown Police to pick this individual up at his residence for charges in their town. South Kingstown Police then arrived and took custody of him. On July 29 at approximately 3:10 a.m. Officer Murray arrested Kevin Manning, 44, of 30 Howard Ave. (Harrington Hall) in Cranston, for an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by Providence Police for failure to register/sex offender. The arrest was the result of a request by Providence Police to have him picked up. Providence Police then arrived and took custody of him.

Officer Murray arrested John Edwards III, 43, of 239 Public St. in Providence on July 26 at approximately 7:00 p.m. for Providence Police Department warrant of arrest on an affidavit as a result of Edwards coming into headquarters. He was later released to Providence Police custody. On July 26 at approximately 9 p.m., Officers Shore and Carroll arrested Ronald Powell, 24, of 251 Mayfield Ave. in Cranston for a Cranston Police Department warrant of arrest on affidavit for two counts of simple assault and two counts of second-degree child molestation as a result of proactive police work by Sgt. Shore.
