DUTY TO STOP

Christopher Castro, 33, of 109 Union Avenue in Providence, was arrested on Dec. 3 at approximately 10:00 p.m. by Officer Leonard for duty to stop-damage to attended vehicle as the result of an accident investigation on Garfield Avenue in front of the Texas Roadhouse. He was arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Officer Cragin and Seargent Pariseault arrested Richard Espinosa, 32, of 321 Chestnut St. in Warwick on Dec. 3 at approximately 8:51 p.m. for Duty to Stop-Damage to Attended Vehicle as a result of an accident investigation at the intersection of RT 37 West and Natick Avenue Disposition of Arrestee: Awaiting morning arraignment.

FALSE DOCUMENT

Officer Paccasassi arrested Lenin Molina, 22, of 33 Liege St. in Providence on Dec. 3 at approximately 7:37 p.m. for illegal evidence of financial security and giving a false document to an agent/public official. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in front of 1644 Broad St. Molina was arraigned by a justice of the peace.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE

On Nov. 29 at 1:00 p.m., Detectives Skodras and Henseler arrested Jordany Rosario, 18, of 590 Park Avenue, Cranston for one count of a fugitive from justice warrant out of Norwood, Mass. as a result an investigation of larcenies of tires and rims. Rosario was then held for arraignment.

NO CONTACT

At approximately 9:53 p.m. on Dec. 3, Officer Leclair arrested Mark Pine, 47, of 19 Westlawn Avenue in Pawtucket, for violation of a no contact order as a result of a pickup at the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks based on an outstanding arrest and affidavit warrant out Cranston. He was held awaiting morning arraignment.

OBSTRUCTION

On Dec. 4 at 1:19 a.m. Officer Leclair arrested Cotey Vasconcellos, 24 of 1076 Main Street in West Warwick for obstruction of a police officer and operating on a suspended license, 10th offense, as a result of a traffic stop on Midway Road. Vasconcellos was then held for arraignment.

PERMIT FOR CARRYING

As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue at Pocassett Avenueon Dec. 2 at 2:09 a.m., Officer Mastrati arrested Kenny Cardona, 33, of 130 Chad Brown St. in Providence for license or permit required for carrying a pistol, carrying a weapon while intoxicated, conspiracy, and driving under the influence first offense. He was then held for arraignment. Also arrested was Miguel Alvarado, 32, of 103 Chad Brown St. in Providence, for license or permit required for carrying a pistol and conspiracy.

POSSESSION

On Nov. 29 at approximately 8:26 p.m., Officers Dagnese and Sullivan arrested Steven Smith, 30, of 647 Douglas Avenue in Providence for possession of a schedule I-V drug (Fentanyl), possession of schedule I-V drug (Crack-Cocaine), obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and resisting arrest. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of 333 Narragansett St. He was held for arraignment in the morning.

At 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 28, the SIU arrested Steven Gomes, 25, of 15 Mill Pond Road, Fall River, Mass. for one count of manufacturing/possession/delivery of a schedule I/II drug (Marijuana), one count of altering of marks of identification on a firearm, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon while committing a crime of violence, and one count of license or permit required for carrying a pistol as a result of a larceny of a firearm investigation from 2 Starline Way, Cranston as well as a Warwick PD investigation for breaking and entering. He was held for a court appearance.

STOLEN GOODS

Officer Langlais arrested Kevin Garcia, 19, of 541 Union Ave, Providence on Nov. 30 at 5:15 p.m. for receiving stolen goods as a result of a traffic stop on Broad St. He was arraigned and released by justice of the peace.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

On Dec. 5 at 11:46 a.m., Officer Burke arrested Scott Corbin, 48, of 328 Pocasset Avenue in Providence for driving on a suspended license, third offense or greater. His arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Puritan Avenue Corbin was issued a summons to appear at the Third District Court.

WARRANT

As a result of a suspicious person call at 139 Farmington Avenue on Nov. 30 at 9:44 p.m. Officer Sullivan arrested Michael Cogean, 33, of 67 Alverson Avenue in Providence for a Third District Court Bench Warrant. He was later transported to the ACI Mens Intake.

WILLFUL TRESPASS

At approximately 8:05 p.m. on Nov. 28, Officer Cragin arrested Cory Raposa Sr., 36, of no particular address for domestic willful trespass as a result of a well-being check at 575 Dyer Avenue # G122.He was held awaiting arraignment.
