Police reexamining death of former Bristol pastor’s first wife

Investigators are reexamining the 1993 death of former Bristol pastor Daniel Randall’s first wife after Mr. Randall killed his daughter and himself in the family’s home in Hebron, Maine last week, Maine State Police announced Wednesday.

Greta Randall reportedly died in a fall from a cliff at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, on July 3 of that year. She was six months pregnant with the couple’s third child at the time. Lucas Barron Randall died a day later.

State Police have no plans to reopen the investigation into Greta Randall’s death, according to Public Information Officer Stephen McCausland, but detectives are reviewing investigative reports and have asked the state medical examiner’s office to provide any reports they have regarding the investigation.
