Raymond O’Brien, age 71, of Spring Green Road, Warwick, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Eileen J. (Mackie) O’Brien.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Francis J. and Thelma (Collins) O’Brien, he lived in Warwick for 46 years. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. O’Brien was a printer, and previously the owner and operator of Bristol Printing. He was an avid bowler.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Raymond J. O’Brien (Catherine) of Coventry; two daughters, Katie Spolidoro (Christopher) of Warwick and Kerri L. Trottier of Warwick; a brother, Charles O’Brien of Johnston; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the brother of the late Michael O’Brien.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 22, from 5-8 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
