RI Festival of Children’s Books and Authors returns October 18

Celebrate all things innocent & literary

East Side Monthly Magazine ·

Lincoln School in Providence is proud to host the Rhode Island Festival of Children’s Books and Authors on Saturday, October 18 from 9am to 5:30pm. Acclaimed authors and illustrators from all across the country will travel to the smallest state to sign books and converse with young readers and parents. Featured authors include Jeff Kinney, author of the widely popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Chris Van Allsburg, world-renowned author and illustrator of The Polar Express, and Herman Perish, author of the Amelia Bedelia series.

Thanks to a new collaboration with the Central Falls Library, a Book Festival author will also be hosting a children’s event at the library, while Lincoln School students work to organize a used book drive. Celebrate the unique joy created between the pages of a book, and unite to inspire the youth of Rhode Island. Admission to the festival is $5. For a full listing of activities, visit www.lincolnschool.org or call 331-9696, x3135.
