Rose Marie August, 88, of Bristol
Rose Marie (Dias) August, 88, of Lugent Lane, Bristol, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Donald A. August.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Ferreira) Dias. She was the stepmother of Eric August, Karen August, Evan August, Andrew August and Domenic August. She was the sister of Edmund Dias and the late Edna Cappucci, Manuel Dias, Joseph Dias and Mary Carreiro.
Mrs. August was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was a benefits coordinator for the Rhode Island Office of Veterans Affairs before retiring.
Her funeral services were held Nov. 30 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
