Senior League state champions honored by Town Council

The celebration continues for the Johnston Little League Senior State Champions, who advanced to the Eastern Regional Tournament in New Jersey.

Manager Gary Rianna – and his fine coaches Robert Civetti and Mike Castelli – as well as each and every player who helped Johnston capture the district and state titles, were honored with special commendation by the Town Council.

The 2017 champions received commendations and a resolution recognizing their tremendous athletic achievement. The ceremony took place during a Town Council meeting held inside the Municipal Court House.

Players on that title team were: Ryan Allen, Alex Rodriguez, Rudy Landin, Miguel Perez, Mike Castelli, Tyler Roche, Luke Vincent, Bobby Civetti, Matt Loffredo, Josh Tonucci, Eric O’Connor and Justin Salvatore.
