Something to crow about

Being the Chinese New Year and the year of the rooster, all reasons to celebrate, 12 members from the Rhode Island Kung Fu and Lion Dance Club performed outside and inside Han Palace Sunday afternoon. Three lions danced outside the restaurant on West Shore Road before parading between tables inside to rhythmic drumming and commands. The event culminated outside with an offering of oranges and cabbage to the lions. The cabbage disappeared into the mouth of one lion and then was regurgitated as chopped up cabbage at the foot of a bystander. (Warwick Beacon photo)
