Take the Plunge

Annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge. Donations benefit A Wish Come True. In fact, all proceeds from the swim and the after party at the Atlantic Beach Club will benefit the charity. Easton’s Beach, Memorial Boulevard, Newport. 

Lion’s Club Annual Pier Plunge. Registration from 10-11:45am. Plunge at 12-12:30pm. Proceeds benefit charity, and first 300 registrants receive a Commutative Pier Plunge towel. $20. North Beach Clubhouse, 79 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett.

2nd Annual Punk Rock Plunge. The $25 plunge benefits Jake Gallerani of Uxbridge, MA. Jake is a young boy who has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Marley's On the Beach, 885 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick.

38th Annual Penguin Plunge. Registration begins at 10am. Plunge at 12pm. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Rhode Island. Donations accepted. Roger Williams State Beach, 100 Sand Hill Cave Road, Narragansett. 

3rd Annual Winter Wish Swim. Registration begins at 11am. Swim starts at 12pm. $20 includes the ice-cold dip and a commermorative t-shirt. Colt State Park, RTE 114, Bristol.

North Kingstown Polar Plunge. Donations benefit the Food Pantry. Swim kicks off at 1:30pm. North Kingstown Town Beach, North Kingstown.

15th Annual Dip for Multiple Sclerosis. Donations benefit programs for MS. Plunge at 12pm, followed by live music and a free lunch buffet at Tara’s Tipperary Tavern. Donations accepted. 907 Matunuck Beach Road, Matunuck.

Block Island Plunge. Hosted by the Lions Club at the Town Beach. Prepare to jump in at noon. Town Beach, 7 Corn Neck Rd., Block Island.

3rd Annual Jamestown First Day Plunge. Stand-up paddle board race at 11:30am. Plunge at 12pm. Donations benefit Jamestown volunteer FIRE/EMS and Save the Bay scholarships. Donations accepted. East Ferry Beach, Canonicus Ave, Jamestown.

4th Annual Sandy Beach Neighborhood Polar Plunge. Donations benefit Forever Paws Aniimal Shelter. Plunge is at 10am. Donations accepted. Sandy Beach, Atlantic Blvd., Fall River.

3rd Anuual Tiverton Penguine Plunge. Help raise money for the new Tiverton Library. Swim starts at noon. Grinnell's Beach, Main Rd., Tiverton.

Frozen Clam Plunge. Plunge at 12pm, followed by 50/50 raffle and prizes from local businesses. Donations accepted. 1050 Main Street, East Greenwich. 

3rd Annual RICAN Polar Plunge. Plunge at 12pm, but participants should arrive for 11:30am. Shirts provided to first 100 participants that raise at least $100. Donations accepted. 557 Charlestown Beach Road, Charlestown.
