Tea time at Sprague

The Cranston Herald ·

Approximately 50 people attended the Cranston Historical Society’s 3rd Annual Victorian Tea held at the Sprague Mansion on April 2.

The traditional Victorian tea included an informative and entertaining presentation by historical interpreter Patricia Perry. She presented "Undergarments Through the Ages" which featured various undergarments worn by men and women in history. She also told some fascinating stories to the audience about each undergarment and how they are made and worn.

Perry, who owns Sneak Peek Productions, does 20 different performances that are all based on history. Perry refers to her job as “edutainment,” which means while you are having fun, you are learning.

On the menu at the Tea was four different types of sandwiches, scones, desserts and tea.
