Rogers Free Library hosts its annual children's parade to culminate summer reading program

Dozens of young Bristolians marched threir way down Hope and Thames streets Friday morning as Rogers Free Library hosted its annual kids parade.

The "March of the Future Builders" is the culmination of the library's summer reading program, which carried a "Build a Better World" theme this summer. Children of all ages dressed as builders and heroes to march from the front of the library on Hope Street, down State Street to Thames Street, before returning to the library's backyard. Bristol Police closed the roads during the parade.

Back at the library, the children were treated to Del's lemonade and a concert by children's performers "Toe Jam Band."
