Warren police logs: A bull, a squirrel and a tired turkey

Tuesday, Sept. 5

It was a busy afternoon for the animal control officer. Police got a call at 2:09 p.m. regarding an injured turkey on Canario Drive, but the ACO reported that the turkey wasn’t hurt, just resting. Seventeen minutes later he was out on another call, this time for an ornery baby squirrel reportedly chasing residents on Main Street. The ACO reported that the animal had been relocated.

A Brown Street resident reported a suspicious box that had wires hanging out of it. The fire chief dealt with it.

An Oyster Point woman came to police headquarters to complain about an unruly child.

A Market Street woman reported receiving harassing phone calls and texts.

An employee at a Metacom Avenue nightspot called police to report that a drunken man left the restaurant in an orange Camaro. Police located him at his home.

A man flagged down an officer on Joyce Street and told him that he’d been “yelled at.”

A caller from Croade Street told police that her mother was using drugs.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

A woman called police after her son, who she’d just driven to school, refused to go in and instead started walked away. Police caught up with him a short while later.

Alysia E. Guild, 25, of 460 Water St., was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after a single car accident at Water and Baker streets at 1:55 p.m.

A Parker Avenue man reported an argument with his significant other.

Thursday, Sept. 7

A Child Street resident reported being harassed.

An Oyster Lane resident called in a large beehive in her front yard.

Kristopher David Harris, 30, of 342 Child St., first floor, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

Police went to Market Street for a landlord/tenant dispute.

Police got a call about a panhandler at Child and Cutler streets.

A Union Street man reported an attempted break-in at his apartment.

Friday, Sept. 8

A Munro Avenue man complained that a friend bumped into his parked car.

A Water Street man reported a stolen wallet.

A bike was reported stolen from Wood Street.

A Metacom Avenue woman called police with suspicions that her computer had been hacked.

A Westmnster Street woman complained that someone parked in her driveway.

Saturday, Sept. 9

A Broad Street called complained about loud neighbors.

A man told police that someone broke into his car while he was visiting his girlfriend on Wood Street.

A bull got loose on Market Street, near Connolly Avenue. Insert china shop or red cape references here.

A caller complained about fireworks on Wood Street. A similar call came in soon after, from Kelly Street.

A caller reported a house fire on Arlington Avenue, but it turned out to be a small fire in a backyard fire pit.

A caller reported a panhandler on Main Street.

Sunday, Sept. 10

Someone tagged a building on Main Street with graffiti.

A car drove over someone’s yard on Miller Street.

Monday, Sept. 11

A Main Street resident complained about construction at 6:33 a.m.

Graffiti was reported sprayed on another Main Sreet building.

A Main Street woman complained about a barking dog.
