A resident called in the sound of three shotgun blasts from near Child Street. They turned out to be from a military funeral at St. Jean’s Cemetery.
A Hope Street man called police just after 7 p.m. to report that his sister slapped him in the face.

A 16-year-old was arrested as a wayward/disobedient child.
Police got a call about an unruly student on Market Street.
Kellyann Harper, 51, of 10 Hope St., was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, and domestic disorderly conduct, after her brother called from Hope Street to report an altercation with her.
A caller reported that a man and woman wearing blue jeans were yelling as they walked south on Market Street at 4:20 p.m.
Wednesday, March 29
Police dispersed a man whom they discovered sleeping in a car parked in a Water Street parking lot at 1:47 a.m.
An Ellis Avenue woman complained that while her child was sleeping, a man nearby was revving his motorcycle engine.
Timothy E. Smith, 39, of 15 Bridge St., first floor, was charged with violating a no contact order after a woman from Union Street reported a man knocking on her door.
Thursday, March 30
A caller from Croade Street told police that someone threw a back pack into her yard. Police checked it out and found the pack empty.
Coyotes were spotted on Warren Boulevard at 1:25 p.m.
A caller from Market Street complained that her fiancé had just received an anonymous call from a person stating that he was going to die.
Police got reports of a drunken man acting loudly on Mason Street.
Friday, March 31
Francisco DaSilva, 75, of 71 Canario Drive, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after police got a call from his daughter, alleging Mr. DaSilva assaulted his wife.
A coyote was spotted in a field on Kickemuit Road.
Joseph D. Valentine, 46, of 390 Metacom Ave., first floor, was picked up on a warrant for two counts of domestic simple assault/battery and two counts of domestic disorderly conduct.
A caller told police she believed she was being followed while headed back into Warren from Providence.
Saturday, April 1
A caller from Almeida Drive reported finding a suspicious brown shopping bag in his yard.
Derek J. Renaud, 34, of 186 Vernon St., was arrested on a Superior Court warrant.
Jacob T. Semiao, 18, of Bristol, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor after police pulled a car in which he was riding, on Market Street.
A Hope Street resident reported receiving harassing and threatening telephone calls.
Sunday, April 2
A caller complained that people were riding dirt bikes on town-owned property on Asylum Road.
Police were called to Homestead Avenue for a dispute between father and son.
