Warren police logs: Pair pulled over in stolen car

Monday, Aug. 7

A caller from Davis Street reported being harassed by a man from the area.

A detail police officer reported seeing “multiple” rats on Water Street. No contemporary reports of sinking ships.

Tuesday, Aug. 8

A caller reported that there were 20 to 25 kids congregating suspiciously on Redmond Street. They left soon after in several cars.

Wednesday, Aug. 9

A “suspicious” person walking around Main and Washington streets after 2 a.m. was just looking for a lost ATM card, he told police.

A caller from Davis Street asked to be taken to the hospital for alcohol detox.

A caller from Main Street reported a disorderly neighbor.

A car was reportedly vandalized on Homestead Avenue.

A caller from Main Street reported that a neighbor had locked kittens in a shed. An officer was able to gain entry to the shed.

Thursday, Aug. 10

A car struck a deer on Vernon Street; the animal left under its own power.

A caller on Main Street told police at 8:56 p.m. that there was a man passed out in the bushes. Crews transported him to the hospital.

Friday, Aug. 11

Two people were arrested on a host of charges after being pulled over on Franklin Street. William M. Percious, 36, of 26 Westminster St., and Tiffany Ann Jackson, 34, of Elkton, Va. were charged possession of stolen vehicle/parts and conspiracy; Mr. Percious was also arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Harrisonburg, PA. Police in that city confirmed that the vehicle the two were in was stolen.

An anonymous caller reported an erratic driver on Schoolhouse Road.

The animal control officer caught up with a dog loose on the Warren Town Beach.

A woman asked for a well-being check for a man on Market Street who was intoxicated.

A caller from Metacom Avenue reported being approached by a man asking for money. Police caught up with and dispersed him.

Samantha M. Stanzione, 26, of Barrington, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant after police were clued to Water Street at 10:35 p.m. for a suspicious person.

A caller from Main Street told him a man would not leave the front of his business despite being asked to leave multiple times.

Saturday, Aug. 12

A Metacom Avenue man called police at 3:07 a.m. to report that his wife had just left in a neighbor’s car. Police reported the man told them that while he hadn’t had any contact with his wife, he “believes she may be with another man and wants (police) to go find them.”

A Child Street man complained that someone may have broken in to his home.
