Warren police: Woman charged with DUI after accident

Monday, Oct. 24

A Wood Street resident reported being harassed over the phone.

A man and woman got into it on Warren Avenue. No arrests were made.

A caller reported that his father was harassing his mom over the phone.

A Liberty Street resident noticed two handguns missing from his home and reported them stolen. 

Tuesday, Oct. 25

Police were asked to check on the well-being of an intoxicated woman on Arlington Avenue.

Police were called to a property dispute on Main Street. No word on the nature of it, but police noted the woman saying she planned on putting up a fence.

Joseph A. Camara, 34, of East Providence, was charged after an accident on Metacom Avenue with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense.

A caller from Cherry Street reported a man taking picture of her home.

Police were called to Laurel Lane for a stepfather who struck several family members.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Someone complained about loud music coming from a Water Street apartment.

A man complained that boys loitering on benches on Turner Street refused to leave. Police came, and the boys were advised to leave.

Thursday, Oct. 27

Latia Ramos Melendez, 23, of North Kingston, was pulled over and charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense.

Police got a call about a “loose husky” on Wilbur Avenue. Not specified whether the animal control officer or Mt. Hope truant officer was called in.

Joshua A. Walls, 34, of 72 Beach St., was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

A panhandler was reported on Market Street.

Friday, Oct. 28

A King Street man complained of his neighbor’s swearing. Police arrived and noted that the neighbor was actually singing. He refused to open the door, but police told him through the glass to quiet down.

Police got a call about a young boy who assaulted a girl on a school bus, causing injuries to her nose and chin. 

Wild turkeys held up traffic on Metacom Avenue just before 5 p.m.

Police got a call about juveniles running and shouting on Jefferson Street.

A Water Street woman called animal control to report that a squirrel was trapped in her bathroom. The animal officer arrived and attempted to catch the creature, but reported a negative result: “Animal escaped to the outside,” the log reads. The night wasn’t over though as about one hour and 20 minutes later, police noted that the squirrel was back. Once again, it evaded capture. 

A Main Street man reported that his ex-girlfriend kicked in his door and demanded her key back.

Someone reportedly stole coins from a Libby Lane residence.

The sound of gunshots was reported on Maple Road.

A caller from Ellis Avenue called to report that his friend was intoxicated, and he was concerned for his well-being.

A Harris Avenue resident complained about the odor from a neighbor’s yard, where there were cows, goats, rabbits and chickens. Police arrived, smelled around and reported no problem.

A teen doing donuts in a muddy lot on Market Street got stuck in the mud. A parent was called and arrived a short time later.

A panhandling call came in from Water Street just before 4 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 31

Christine Lombardo, 28, of Barrington, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after she was involved in an accident on Market Street at 12:38 a.m.

A man and woman were reported fitting on Child Street at 7:41 a.m.

A Vernon Street resident complained to police about a fraudulent Facebook account.
