Where is the cheapest gas in East Bay?

Gas prices in Rhode Island rose by 2 cents this week, averaging $2.23 a gallon across the state, according to AAA Northeast.

The $2.23 price is eight cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.31. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 46 cents lower at $1.77.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 21 cents, from a low of $2.14 to a high of $2.35, the motor club announced. Mid-grade gas averaged $2.50 ($2.37-$2.69); premium averaged $2.72  ($2.57-$2.83); diesel averaged $2.52 ($2.45-$2.59).
