Zorro and friends available at Rhode Island Parrot Rescue

Warwick Beacon ·

Meet Zorro the Lorikeet at the Rhode Island Parrot Rescue. He is just one of the many gorgeous birds available for adoption at the rescue.

Zorro came from the Weston Parrot Seizure over a year ago in which over one hundred birds were removed from the premises due to animal cruelty and hoarding situation.

He is a very unique color with amazing yellow gold under his wings, just beautiful.

Zorro is a Duyvenbode's Lory, also know as a Brown Lory, which you can search online for more details about his breed or contact the rescue to tell you more about the breed; they are very helpful.

The staff is all volunteer so please be patient when waiting for a reply. You must make an appointment to visit the rescue and for more information about adoption you can visit their website at www.riparrots.org or you can email riparrot@gmail.com.

The RI Parrot Rescue is located at 2141 West Shore Road Warwick, RI 02889 and they are also always looking for new volunteers to help with bird care, so please visit the website for more information about volunteering too.

If you've been looking to adopt a bird please be sure to contact them and be sure to consider giving Zorro a forever home, he's a sweet boy.
