The Knighstville Branch of Cranston libraries hosted the final anniversary open house celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17.

"We want to thank everyone for attending our last open house at Knightsville as we finish our celebration of the 50th anniversary of Cranston Public Library," said Ed Garcia, Library Director for Cranston.

The branch, which normally is not open on Saturdays, had over 85 guests come through the doors, according to branch librarian, Nancy Campbell Gianlorenzo

"I feel fortunate that Knightsville was the last library to celebrate because everyone shared their ideas and really helped to make this event a huge success," she said.

Balloon artist Ron Sargent (Balloon Creations Galore) was the special guest from 2:00-4:00 pm. They also had a scavenger hunt, raffles, a fun craft and refreshments. Raffle prizes were donated by the Blue Pearl Salon, the Social Barbershop, Legends Pub & Grub and Catanzaro's Pizzeria Cranston.
