The Honorable Linda E. McMahon, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will be the keynote speaker at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner on February 8, 2018 at Twin River Events Center in Lincoln. McMahon serves as the 25th administrator of SBA. As a member of President Trump’s cabinet, she advocates on behalf of the 30 million small businesses in America.

An entrepreneur and business executive herself, McMahon is the co-founder and former chief executive officer of WWE, based in Stamford, Connecticut. She helped grow WWE from a 13-person regional operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide. McMahon has been a longtime advocate for women in leadership and business and has been widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives.

“As one of the state’s leading advocates for small business and a longtime partner of the local SBA, we are excited and honored to have Administrator McMahon as our keynote speaker” said John C. Gregory, the Chamber’s president and CEO.

The Chamber will also announce this year’s honored recipients of the distinguished Barbara Burlingame and Ben Mondor awards. The Burlingame award was established in 2003 to honor State Representative Burlingame and former Chamber Vice President, to recognize a Rhode Island elected official who has made outstanding contributions to the business community. The award recognizes individuals who exhibit the highest standards of excellence, dedication and accomplishment in the public service arena. The Ben G. Mondor award was established in 2011 to honor the former owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox. This philanthropic award is given to an individual who goes above and beyond philanthropically, within the community.
