Police: Woman found bloodied, unresponsive in woods

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are investigating at an active crime scene just over the Taunton line in Raynham.

The call came in around 10:40 a.m. to the area of School and Thrasher Streets.

Police told Eyewitness News a woman driving on Thrasher Street spotted another woman laying in the woods, bloody. The caller thought the woman was dead. However, officers said she was unresponsive, but still alive when she was taken to the hospital.

Police said the fire department had to use cutting tools to get the woman out of the brush.

Detectives are on scene investigating what happened to her.
